Secret Ravine Vineyard and Winery

Secret Ravine Vineyard and Winery (SRV) is one of the very first wineries as you travel up Highway 80 out of Sacramento.  Just barely in the Sierra Foothills, this easy to get to stop will make your heart pound as you are not just excited about their wines, but marvel at the owner’s great attitudes and ambitions.

The owners are proud to have recently won the following medals from the San Francisco Chronicle 2019 Wine Competition.  2017 Barbera – Gold, 2016 Cab Sauvignon – Gold, 2016 Merlot – Double Gold, 2016 Montepulciano – Silver, 2017 Rattlesnake Red – Bronze, 2015 Zinfandel – Silver.

The owners know that good wine come from quality grapes. Their focus is on the production of the best quality grapes from their vineyard and those of friends and neighbors of the same mindset.

Integrated pest management and organic materials are used whenever possible in grape production. Sustainable viticulture practices are use with the minimal use of chemical fertilizers and insecticides.

If you are a wine bargain hunter, you’ll find some great deals on cases of wine, in particular the Zinfandel at Secret Ravine. In a video posted on their website by a local real estate wine traveler, where he was able to purchase an entire case of their tasty, quality Zin for only $50.
